Anabelle has started taking steps. I cannot believe she is big enough to do that, but she is I guess. I cannot believe how fast time flies. Four weeks from TODAY she will be a year old. A year old! Goodness. I'm just blown away that almost a year ago this little girl came and completely turned our world upside down. In a good way, of course. She has been the best little blessing. I remember looking at her for the first time not believing that she was mine. What a sweet and wonderful memory I hope to always have. Being a mommy has been the best. Not always easy or pleasant, but I am loving every minute of it. It helps having the best little girl in the world. (I may be a little biased) :) Well, I started this blog with the news that Anabelle is taking steps and will be walking soon. I will be posting pictures soon.

Updates
Well, I'm not just great at this thing. We have been dealing with sickness lately. First, Sean had fever and achiness. Then, I came down with it. I thought Anabelle was going to make it through without anything, but she ended up with and ear infection and ran fever for three days. Then, she decided that she was going to be allergic to amoxicillin. That was fun. I'll post pictures soon of her little rash. It was very sad. Now we are all better and back to moving all over and me trying to keep up. Her cousin ,Malachi, just had his first birthday, and that's when it hit me how fast she is growing. Only 6 weeks til my baby is one. I cannot believe it. We are very excite about her birthday. We have decided that since it is so close to Halloween, we would have a circus themed party and have all her guests dress up as animals. She is going to be the clown. It should be fun and I'm excited to see her reaction. Well, that's all that I can think of that's new around here. We are just enjoying being a family of three.

Five Years

Well, today Sean and I celebrate five years of marriage. Its hard to believe that its been five years already. Man, how time flies. As I look back and think of all we've done, I cannot believe the journey that we've had together. We've had our ups and downs, but through it all, the Lord has kept my love for Sean going strong. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful man by my side through this journey of life. So, here's to the last five years and many more.

Testing
Lately Anabelle has decided that she doesn't want to go to sleep when its time. We had it made when she was smaller because she would lay down and go right to sleep. No rocking, bouncing, or holding was necessary to lay her down. Now, in the last couple of days, she has decided that she needs to be rocked to sleep, but once her head touches the matress in her crib she is up and screaming. I am having a difficult time dealing with this while Sean just stands by and lets her cry with no problem. He has been very good and very strong to help when I can't take it. Sunday she fought us for over an hour. It was a long time of letting her cry for a bit, walking in there laying her back down with passy and bear and walking back out. What has made it even more difficult is the fact that she has begun to pull up in bed and stand there and cry. So, when you walk in to lay her down she is staring straight at you ready for you to get her OUT. It is obvious she is exhausted and ready to sleep, but is putting up the fight to see who wins. TEST #1.
As I said earlier, she is pulling up now, which means that anything low has become free game. No no has become a very popular word around here lately. So much so that when trying to teach her the word NOSE she cries when you say it. She grabbed my nose and with a smile on my face I said mama's nose. Then the pout came and the tears flowed. We moved on to ears. :) This child has an incredibly strong will, though. Last night she was crawling around on the floor while Sean and I attempted to watch a movie and she headed toward the DVD player. As she pulls up and reaches for it, I call for her and she looks at me with a grin on her face. I said, "Anabelle, no no." while shaking my head no. She sat down and smiled again and shook her head yes. I repeated and she did the same. Of course, it was hard to keep a straight face (Sean did NOT), but we repeated this until she let it go. TEST #2
So, life is full of tests these days. I have the sweetest child, but even the sweetest can test the boundaries. I have not always won the battles, but I pray that the Lord gives me the strength I need to keep persistent and constant for Anabelle's sake. She's been a blessing since day one, and I can't express the joy she has brought. It is absolutely amazing.

So, I've decided to try this out. Everyone else seems to jumping into this blogging thing, and I have yet to try this. Hopefully, I can keep up. Having a little one can be a little busy, but other moms have done it, so maybe I can too. To start off, I thought I would post a few newer pics of my sweet baby girl.
